CATHEDRAL
Romanesque style, is dedicated to the apostle Matthew (1076-85)
The central portal has a 1099 bronze doors
After all to the median aisle they are two rich ambonis of decoration musiva; the right ambone, more grandiose, of 1180-1194; the left ambone, of 1163-1180, it is less rich than the other, but more refined.
The transept has a mosaic floor; in the right apse there is the tomb of St. Gregory VII.


CRIPTA
It constitutes the first nucleus in the construction of the cathedral.
 
ARECHI CASTLE
The medieval castle of Salerno contains three centuries of civilization longobarda (from the VIII to the Xl century)..
